WEST MIDLANDS - £70,000 + BENEFITS + CAR

This role is working for one of the UK’s largest FMCG retail distribution operations. The company focuses heavily on high levels of customer service. An in depth knowledge of Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Operations Management techniques are essential. In this role you will assume full responsibility for one of their distribution centres and the remit for this position covers both warehousing and transport. You will need to have solid knowledge in operating a P&L and be commercially savvy. A working knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies. Also, with experience of adding value along every step of the value stream. You will be expected to deliver ever-improving service levels whilst ensuring costs and margins are well managed. This is a heavily unionised environment and you will be expected to resolve any conflict with Trade Unions ensuring good relationships are maintained.
